During the design process, it was discovered that the following items also needed to be addressed with additional design documents • Exterior repairs, maintenance and painting. • Addition of a second toilet for South Building Women's Room • Addition of a Lactation Room in the North Building • Code required changes for the basement stairs • Removing existing water valve and infill of floor slab in South Building To perform this additional design work, Cairn has quoted $5,515.00. This amount follows the fees structure rates for the bid they were awarded for conducting on -call design services. Therefore, Buildings & Grounds is recommending approving this change order so design can continue to progress. If you have any questions, please contact me at extension 2023. Cairn Design, LLC will provide architectural and engineering design under this agreement including: Architectural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing design for the project. This proposal is for additional items above and beyond the original scope of work due to owner requests or unknown field conditions.
