RE: APPROVE DISSOLVING BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR NORTH COLORADO MEDICAL
CENTER (NCMC)
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Hospital was established by Resolution of the Board of
County Commissioners on March 31, 1994, turning over control, maintenance and conduct of the
Weld County Hospital to the Board of Trustees of the Hospital, effective April 15, 1994, and
WHEREAS, on July 1, 1982, by affidavit filed with both the Secretary of State and the
Weld County Clerk and Recorder, the Weld County Hospital received permission to assume the
name of North Colorado Medical Center, and
WHEREAS, the bylaws were established and amended from time to time, and by
Resolution #2000-0832, dated April 12, 2000, the Board of Weld County Commissioners ratified
the bylaws for the North Colorado Medical Center Board of Trustees, pursuant to Title 25,
Article 3, Part 3, C.R.S., with requisite corporate power to lease and operate hospital facilities and
to carry on its business, and
WHEREAS, on September 30, 2019, the Board of Weld County Commissioners approved
an Agreement for the Sale and Purchase of the North Colorado Medical Center and related
facilities, which eliminated the purpose for the Board of Trustees, and
WHEREAS, the Board deems it advisable and in the best interest of the citizens of Weld
County to dissolve said Board.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Board of Trustees for North Colorado Medical Center, be, and hereby
is, dissolved.

The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 18th day of December, A.D., 2019.
