RE: APPROVE EMERGENCY BID #B1900107, TASERS AND ACCESSORIES AND
WAIVER OF TEN-DAY WAITING PERIOD FOR CONSIDERATION AND
INVESTIGATION - SHERIFF'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Department of Purchasing has requested waiver of the ten-day waiting
period for Emergency Bid Request #B1900107, Tasers and Accessories, for the Sheriff's Office,
due to delay of the original purchase request of this essential equipment, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable to waive the ten-day
waiting period for said emergency bid.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the ten-day waiting period for Emergency Bid Request #B1900107, Tasers
and Accessories, for the Sheriff's Office, be, and hereby is, waived.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the low bid from Proforce Law
Enforcement, in the amount of $49,934.00, be, and hereby is, accepted on an emergency basis.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 24th day of June, A.D., 2019.

SUBJECT: EMERGENCY APPROVAL CEW TASERS AND ACCESSORIES - BID NUMBER B1900107
As advertised, this bid is for CEW Tasers and Accessories. The low bid is from Proforce Law Enforcement and
meets bid specifications in the amount of $49,934.00. The Weld County Sheriffs Office is recommending
award of this bid to Proforce Law Enforcement.
In addition, due to unforeseen circumstances the original purchase request was delayed. This piece of
equipment is an essential part of equipment deputies have at their disposal and is a critical component to make
them mission capable. Therefore, The Weld County Sheriff's Office is requesting emergency approval to
forego the ten-day waiting period. Emergency approval is permitted in Weld County Code Section 2-1-40.
Emergency approval will allow deputies to be 100% mission capable.
