RESOLUTION
RE: SAFETY POLICY AND APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR OF PERSONNEL AS
LOSS CONTROL MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners considers accident
prevention to be of major importance in every phase of operation
and administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that it is a policy of Weld
County to provide and maintain safe and healthful working conditions
and to follow operating practices that will safeguard all employees
and result in safe working conditions and efficient operations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that safe practices on the part of
employees shall be a part of all operations and that supervisors at
all levels shall have the main responsibility for safety in each of
their areas of supervisory responsibility.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director of Personnel shall
have the overall responsibility for safety measures within Weld County
government and is hereby designated as the Loss Control Manager for
Weld County, Colorado.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made
and seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 3rd day of
May , A.D. , 1978 .
