SUBJECT: Tandem Axle Dump Truck, Bid B1900018
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the lowest bidder meeting specs, Transwest
Truck Trailer, for one Tandem Axle Dump Truck with the Auto Truck upfitter, at a cost of $270,189.00. The
bids from McCandless Truck Center do not meet spec for engine, GVWR, and pyrometer.
Option #1 (GPS) is $1,750.00; Option #2 (Stainless Steel Tube for Hydraulics) is $950.00; Option #3 (Power
Float) is $250.00. The total cost for one Tandem Axle Dump Truck with the Auto Truck upfitter and Options 1,
2, and 3 is $273,1390.00.
Maintenance and Service manuals are available online at no additional cost.
There is $250,000 budgeted for this purchase.
