I apologize for not being able to meet in person due to an annual potato board meeting in Austin, Texas that was necessary I attend. This planned development is across the road from my wife and I's home on the East side, along with our farm office and shop down the road from us as well. We farm the adjacent ground to the South, West and North. I have been asked, being a farmer, why I would be involved in putting in a development. Back in 2006, Dave Keiser and myself purchased this farm from his father in order for Strohauer Farms to put an augmentation pond here as part of the augmentation plan that was currently in process. We also believed having homes surrounding the pond would look the best for the property. Unfortunately, we could not survive the opposition to our augmentation plan and withdrew it three years later. The planned development went onto the back burner for close to 10 years, but we feel now is the time to move forward with this project (minus the augmentation pond) due to demand and interest we've received. Our intent for this development is for the design to be aesthetically -pleasing and conducive to surrounding Agriculture. My wife and I already have interest from friends and relatives in possibly building in this development. Dave lives in the development he did years ago, and that project has been a great success. My reason for wanting a gravel driveway is the look and fit of it in an agriculture area. A raised gravel driveway with a cement entry would fit the look and feel we are trying to achieve while also providing the safety, access and protection for County Road SO. Thank you for your time on this project, and I apologize again that I was unable to attend.
