Griego, Director, Human Services RE: Revisions to the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Bylaws 1 Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the Board's agenda. Request Board Approval of the Department's Revisions to the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Bylaws. The Weld County's Area Agency on Aging Advisory Board was established in 1973 to meet the requirements of the Older Americans Act of 1965. The Board of Weld County Commissioners have reviewed and approved revisions to the bylaws in 1980 and 1991. Today, the 1991 bylaws require significant revision to reflect the current expectations of the Advisory Board and its members, the Older Americans Act, and Weld County rules and regulations. The proposed revisions to the bylaws reflect a change in the role of the members to the advisory board, clarification of the terms and reappointment on the advisory board, terms of officers, and removal of outdated language. I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of these revisions to the Area Agency on Aging Bylaws. Sean P. Conway Mike Freeman, Pro -Tern Scott K.
