County Services Complex
Parking Garage Policies
There will be 120 parking spaces available in the new Services
Complex garage. The following policies were formulated by the
Board of County Commissioners for the purpose of issuing spaces
and providing maintenance and security in the parking facility.
1) A $12.50 deposit fee will be levied for all parking gate
cards issued. When an employee terminates his position
with the County or no longer desires a parking space
in the garage he must return his parking gate card to the
County. Upon receipt of the card the County will return
the $12.50 deposit fee to the employee.
2) All persons issued a parking space will be levied a $5.00
a month parking fee.
3) All revenue derived from the rental of the parking spaces
will be placed in a parking garage fund to be used for
maintenance and security within the garage.
4) The parking garage will be open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.,
Monday through Friday, except holidays, or by action of the Board.
5) Those persons to be issued parking spaces will be:
a) All full-time elected officials having offices in
the complex who are willing to pay the $12.50
parking gate card deposit fee and the $5.00 per
month parking fee.
b) All department heads having offices within the
complex who are willing to pay the $12.50 parking
gate card deposit fee and the $5.00 per month parking
fee.
c) Twelve (12) spaces will be allocated to the courts.
Responsibility for assigning these spaces will be
that of the Judges. Those court officials and staff
assigned parking spaces will be required to pay
the $12.50 parking card deposit fee and the $5.00 per
month parking fee.
d) Elected officials and department heads having offices
in the complex will submit a priority list to the Board
of Commissioners as to which employees within their
departments should be next in line for parking spaces.
The remaining parking spaces will be issued on a percentage
basis for each department according to the priority list.
Each staff member receiving a parking space will be levied
the $12.50 parking card deposit fee and a $5.00 per month
parking fee. This priority list will remain in effect
until it is changed by a department head or elected official.
