In specific areas of County-Municipal joint ventures as the airport, ambulance service and parks, the County involvement and methods of equitable funding should be studied. Whether it would be feasible to ki have greater County-wide services in some traditional areas handled by municipal and local improvement districts should be considered. he Regional Council of Governments, primarily a vehicle for allocating Federal funds, should be studied for utilization for other purposes. "• Coordination of facilities such as detention facilities for the smaller u; communities is a gist. Charter proposals should include alternatives of methods of organization for furthering of joint activities between the County other local government units. • rP --8-- MEETING OCOUNTY RELATION'S WITH MUNICIPQ.TIES REGIONAL COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS MEMBERS PRESENT: John Martin - Chairman Tim Weigant Ralph Waldo, Jr. Blen Billings Read the duties of the Committees as designated by the Rules Committee. Discussion followed on how to proceed. • Weigant moved for complete listing of all local Improvement, Fire, Water and any other special districts having ad valorem functions in the County. Seconded by Ralph Waldo, Jr. Motion Passed Weigant moved that a committee representative of incorporated areas of the County be invited to attend a meeting of the Committee to discuss the problem of Town-County Relations. The Committee to represent small, medium and large communities. Seconded by Ralph Waldo, Jr. Members suggested: Dr. Christensen Eaton Mel Bresh Fort Lupton Ben Galletin Pierce Adam LePore Firestone Curtis Strong Platteville Vic Klein Kersey Glen Anderson Windsor Ti•» �vr ,L Johnstown Moved by Waldo, that a committee representative of special Districts be invited to meet with our Committee to discuss County Special District Relations as soon as list of districts is available.
