As we discussed over the phone this afternoon, I have reached out to the Planning Department to ensure that your events meet the current provisions of your USR since the Commissioners are no longer requiring Temporary Assembly Permit applications. If approved, a Special Events Permit allows you to have alcohol at your events, and a Temporary Assembly Permit allows you to have 350 people or more assemble on the premises. Last year your staff completed the application process twice — once for regular season events, and again for the Tiny House Festival. If you are aware that you will be hosting the Tiny House Festival again this year, you 4 are welcome to include it in your main application to avoid the extra paperwork and fees. Also, when choosing your dates and compiling letters/invoices from your vendors, please select alternative dates in the event of extreme weather (unless your policy is to cancel and not reschedule).
