RE: APPROVAL OF A 20% CONTINGENCY COST FOR THE EVANSTON,
ESPANOLA AND WATTENBERG REHABILITATION PROGRAMS .
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home
Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the
affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, it has been related by the Weld County Planning
Director and the Weld County Rehabilitation Officer to the
Board of County Commissioners, that certain unforeseen code
deficiencies have been and will continue to be encountered in
the Evanston, Espanola and Wattenberg Rehabilitation Projects,
and
WHEREAS, in order to alleviate future unforeseen code
deficiencies, it has been recommended to the Board of County
Commissioners that a 20% contingency cost be approved by said
Board, and
WHEREAS, after considering the recommendations of the Weld
County Department of Planning Services, the Board of County Com-
missioners has deemed it in the best interest of Weld County to
allow the 20% contingency cost on all approved grants as well
as all future grants for the Evanston, Espanola and Wattenberg
Rehabilitation Programs, subject to the condition that if any
costs exceed the original $7 ,500 limit, then and in that event,
the additional funds will come from the State Division of Housing
grant money. It is further understood that the Board of County
Commissioners shall receive a report concerning any of the grants
which exceed the $7, 500 limit and use the 20% contingency fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the aforementioned
20% contingency cost be, and hereby is, approved subject to the
above-described conditions.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made
