Home My WebLink About780677.tiff RESOLUTION RE : APPROVAL OF THE CONSERVATION TRUST FUND EXPENDITURES TO THE TOWN OF GILCREST, COLORADO. WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County , Colorado , puruant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter , is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County , Colorado , and WHEREAS , following the submission of an application by the Town of Gilcrest for assistance in the project known as a sprinkling system for the baseball park in the Town of Gilcrest , Weld County has extended to the Town of Gilcrest , a grant from Conservation Trust Funds in the amount of $3 ,007. 00 , and WHEREAS , after receiving all bids , the Town of Gilcrest has informed the Board of County Commissioners that it has accepted the low bid of $6 ,600 . 76 from Dacar, Inc. , and WHEREAS , the terms agreed upon are as follows : A. Following completion of the project , the Town of Gilcrest must report to Weld County its acceptance of the project from its contractor. B. Such report shall include an accounting of actual expenses for the project and a request for reimbursement of a specific dollar amount . C. Upon receipt of this report and request for reimburse- ment , the County shall determine the amount of reimbursement and will make a single payment to the Town of Gilcrest . WHEREAS , it has been further agreed that Weld County shall reimburse the Town of Gilcrest during the calendar year 1978. It is therefore understood and agreed that the project should be completed and the request for reimbursement forwarded no later than December 1 , 1978 , and WHEREAS , upon consideration of the aforementioned request from the Town of Gilcrest , the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve the same in the amount of $3 ,007. 00 to Gilcrest through said Conservation Trust Fund. 780677 NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that said Board does hereby approve the Conserva- tion Trust Fund expenditures to the Town of Gilcrest , Weld County, Colorado , as more fully set forth above. Mr. Rogers agreed that the cost fell short of the estimate by $286 and that it was reasonable for Weld County to share in half of that savings. I explained that, although our savings of $143 was not large, it could be used for other towns doing projects with these funds. These paid invoice figures do not quite agree with the letter that Mayor Jose Castaneda wrote you, August 17, 1977 but they do represent just, what the Town of Gilcrest did pay.
