RE: APPROVE EXPENDITURE AUTHORIZATION AND TRADE ADJUSTMENT
ASSISTANCE (TAA) WORK PLAN FOR CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM AND
AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Expenditure Authorization and Trade
Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Work Plan for the Case Management Program between the County
of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
on behalf of the Department of Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County, and the
Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, commencing October 1, 2019, and ending
September 30, 2021, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said expenditure
authorization, and
WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said expenditure
authorization, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Expenditure Authorization and Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA)
Work Plan for the Case Management Program between the County of Weld, State of Colorado,
by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department
of Human Services, Employment Services of Weld County, and the Colorado Department of
Labor and Employment, be, and hereby is, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized
to sign said expenditure authorization.

UcD01.. currently requires a minimum of 50% co -enrollment betwen ` AA and WIOA, therefore at feast 50% of
TM participants must be co=enrolled in the WIOA Dislocated Worker or Adult program. TPA and WIOA funds
may be leveraged, as appropriate, to assist the fa participant in successful completion of the TM program and
return to the workforce. Note that it i ii i the 5 minimum will be increased in the future.
