Home My WebLink About20190412.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS MINUTES HOUSING AUTHORITY WELD COUNTY, COLORADO JANUARY 28, 2019 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in regular session as the Housing Authority Board in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, January 28, 2019, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. • ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer, Chair Commissioner Mike Freeman, Pro-Tem Commissioner Sean P. Conway Commissioner Scott K. James Commissioner Steve Moreno Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Acting Clerk to the Board, Stephanie Frederick Controller, Barbara Connolly • MINUTES: Commissioner Moreno moved to approve the minutes of the Housing Authority Board meeting of December 26, 2018, as printed. Commissioner Conway seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS: • Tom Teixeira, Executive Director of the Greeley Housing Authority, explained Housing and Urban Development (HUD) obligated two (2) months of funds for the Housing Authority to access, and further stated the funds for January have been received and they are scheduled to receive February's funds, regardless of the Government shutdown. He further stated now that the Federal Government is operating again, HUD will obligate another two (2) months of funds, for March and April, for funding. In response to Commissioner James, Mr. Teixeira explained the Habitat for Humanity has taken on Hill -n -Park as a neighborhood revitalization project. He stated the Housing Authority has funds available to give homeowners a loan to subsidize up to $25,000.00, with 0 to 3% interest. He stated there are non-federal funds available, with permission from the State, that would allow Housing Authority to purchase one or two (2) lots, if available, to build a Habitat for Humanity house. 0L170 l 2019-0412 BC0016 Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Acting Clerk to the Board.
