This letter is to inform you that we will have a Public Hearing before the Weld County Planning
Commission on September 3, 2019, The hearings of that day will start at 12:30 p.m. and wili be located
at 1150 O Street, Greeley, Colorado 80631. You are being notified as a mineral interest holder for
portions of Section 07, Township 07 North, Range 66 West in Weld County/ Colorado.
The proposed project is being identified as Use by Special Review (USR) 18-0065. Waste Management
Disposal Services of Colorado, Inc (formerly known as Waste Services Corporation) was permitted under
USR 895 in 1990 to develop a portion of this Section as a landfill. The North Weld Landfill commenced
operations in February 1992 and continues in operation at this time. The new USR 18-0065 is being
presented for permitted use of contiguous property to the north of the existing landfill Unit. This will
provide additional landfill space for the disposal needs of this community in the years ahead.
