RESOLUTION
RE: EMPLOYMENT OF CUSTODIAL PERSONNEL FOR THE WELD
COUNTY WELFARE DEPARTMENT
WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, is vested with the responsibility of administer-
ing the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Welfare is in
need of the services of three custodial personnel to be assigned speci-
fically to the County Welfare Department, which three contractual
agreements were authorized and adopted by Resolution dated December
27, 1972, and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the above Resolution of December 27, 1972,
one custodian has terminated his employment contract, and
WHEREAS, Eugene McKenna, Director of the Weld County Department
of Public Welfare has submitted one (1) proposed contract relative to em-
ployment of the replacement of one custodian to be assigned specifically
to the Welfare Department, and
WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interests of the
Cainty to enter into such agreement on the basis recited therein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado, that said agreement providing
for the services of one replacement custodian to be assigned to the Welfare
Department, copy attached hereto and made a part hereof by reference,
be, and it hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board be, and it hereby is
authorized to execute the agreement as submitted and to make the same
effective forthwith.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote on the 21st day of March, 1973.

EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
WHEREAS, the Weld County Department of Public Welfare requires
the services of three (3) custodial personnel for the care of the physical
operation, and
WHEREAS, the Director of the Weld County Department of Public
Welfare, Eugene McKenna, has requested the Board of County Com-
missioners of Weld County, Colorado to enter into employment contracts
to provide said custodial services under the supervision of the Custodian
of Buildings and Grounds.
WITNESSETH:
The Weld County Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter re-
ferred to as Employer, and J. C. Dale , hereinafter re-
ferred to as Employee, are desirous of entering into an employment
contract governing the relative rights and responsibilities attendant on
that employment.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the covenants and agree-
ments hereinafter set forth, the Weld County Board of County Com-
missioners agrees to hire J. C. Dale as a custodian for the
Weld County Department of Public Welfare.
TERM:
This employment contract shall be for a period of one (1)
year, commencing January 1, 1973 and ending January 1, 1974.
It is expressly understood by and between the parties hereto that
said employee does expressly serve at the pleasure of the said
Board of County Commissioners, Weld County, Colorado.
This contract shall be annually renewed automatically unless
specifically terminated by either party.

CONSIDERATION:
Employee shall receive the sum of Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($450. 00)
per month as a salary payable on the first day of each month.
Employer will make necessary mandatory deductions for social
security, taxes, and retirement together with such optional de-
ductions for insurance coverage as employee may request.
VACATIONS AND SICK LEAVE:
Employee shall be entitled to normal vacation and sick leave
time in each calendar year as set out by and under the direction
of the Weld County Custodian of Buildings and Grounds.
EMPLOYEE COVENANTS AND AGREES, TO-WIT:
To perform custodial services during the regular hours and
days of his employment in a good and workmanlike manner under
the supervision of the Custodian of Buildings and Grounds for the
County of Weld.
This employment contract shall be binding upon the respective
parties hereto.
