Home My WebLink About20194091.tiff RESOLUTION RE: APPROVE AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT BETWEEN WELD COUNTY, COLORADO,AND UPSTATE COLORADO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AS A RECIPIENT OF WELD COUNTY GENERAL FUND AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT TRUST FUND MONIES AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, an Amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement between Weld County, Colorado, and Upstate Colorado Economic Development as a recipient of Weld County General Fund and Economic Development Trust Fund monies has been presented to the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, and WHEREAS, Upstate Colorado Economic Development has been awarded the sum of sum of $100,000.00 of Weld County General Fund monies and $50,000.00 from the Economic Development Trust Fund to provide economic development services, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, in the December 12, 2018, agreement contracted with Upstate Colorado Economic Development in the sum of $100,000.00 of Weld County General Fund monies and $50,000.00 from the Economic Development Trust Fund to provide economic development services, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, wishes to increase the contracted amount with Upstate Colorado Economic Development from the sum of $100,000.00 of Weld County General Fund monies and $50,000.00 from the Economic Development Trust Fund by $50,000 more from the Economic Development Trust Fund to $100,000 to provide economic development services to promote Weld County, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners deems it advisable and in the best interest of Weld County to approve said amendment. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Amended Memorandum of Agreement between Weld County, Colorado, and Upstate Colorado Economic Development as a recipient of Weld County General Fund and Economic Development Trust monies be, and hereby is, approved. James ounty Attorney ? -. �� J 1 Steve Moreno Date of signature: ©9/2O49 2019-4091 F 10069 AMENDMENT TO MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT THIS AMENDED AGREEMENT, made and entered into on this, the 16th day of September 2019, by and between Weld County, hereinafter referred to as "Weld" and Upstate Colorado Economic Development, hereinafter referred to as "Contractor", the parties agree as follows: WHEREAS, on the 12th day of December 2018, Weld and Contractor entered into an agreement to provide economic development services, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, in the December 12, 2018, agreement contracted with Upstate Colorado Economic Development in the sum of $100,000.00 of Weld County General Fund monies and $50,000.00 from the Economic Development Trust Fund to provide economic development services, and WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, wishes to increase the contracted amount with Upstate Colorado Economic Development from the sum of $100,000.00 of Weld County General Fund monies and $50,000.00 from the Economic Development Trust Fund by $50,000 more from the Economic Development Trust Fund to $100,000 to provide economic development services to promote Weld County, and WHEREAS,the additional$50,000 will be for economic development services to promote Weld County and Weld will reimburse Contractor for actual costs incurred for economic development services provided in 2019 and 2020, specific to promoting Weld County in the State of Colorado.
