Dear Sirs :- On April 3rd , 1911, I wrote you as follows : "Herewith please find enclosed blue-print of a portion of section 1 , township 5 north, range 66 west belonging to J. W. Anderson. By this blue-print you will observe that the transmission line of The Northern Colorado Power Company sets just inside the east boundary line of Mr .Anderson ' s fence where he fronts on County Road. The average distance which this line sets inside his fence is 8. 7 feet and the acreage between the pole-line and Mr.Anderson 's fence is .204 (1/5) of an acre . Several years ago Mr . Anderson deeded twenty feet off the east side of his property to the County for County Road purposes, but that deed did not cover a strip wide enough to open the , road to the same width as the road is between the north and south of his land. The Northern Colorado- Power Company desires to inquire of your Board if it purchased this 8.7 foot strip of land from Mr. Anderson, will -you pay one half the purchase price ; and it is the belief of the Power Company that we can make the purchase for $150 . • -- or less. The Power Company of course has no use for the ground but _ _ _ having a rightof-way over the County Roads , would be willing to pay one-half the cost of opening the road. I would be glad to have an early reply from your Board on this matter" . and not having yet received a reply from you on above, I fear that the letter went astray. We would like to hear from your Board at an early date in order that we may take the question up with Mr.Anderson as1 ere- in indicated.
