PROJECT OVERVIEW AND BACKGROUND:
The Weld County Jail Phase IV Final PUD was originally approved by the City of Greeley, City Council
on October 16, 2012 (Rec # 4381688). The applicant has proposed changes to the interior construction
plans for the jail. As part of the changes, the applicant is requesting a minor amendment to the Final
PUD to increase the overall bed count by three (3) beds.
As approved, the total number of beds permitted for all four phases of the jail complex is 1153 beds
(373 were proposed for Phase IV). Currently, there are a total of 775 beds, which were added during the
first three phases of the jail expansion (already constructed). Phase IV, as proposed, would increase the
bed count by 381 beds for a total of 1156 beds.
The site plan, landscape plan, building elevations and other components related to the PUD were
previously reviewed for compliance with the City's Development Code.
The applicant's request has been reviewed for compliance with the criteria for minor changes to a final
PUD plan, Development Code Section 18.32.160(a) as follows: the request is consistent with the
approved Weld County Jail Phase IV Final PUD, and complies with the City's Development Code.
APPROVAL:
The above request complies with the approved Weld County Jail Phase IV Final PUD as well as the
Greeley Development Code, and is hereby approved.
