Home My WebLink About710312.tiff /-4'n 61/7 • RESOLUTION WHEREAS, Vernon Cecil, Route 1, Box 80, Eaton, Colorado, has requested permission for expansion of an existing cattle feedlot operation on the following described property, to-wit: Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SE*NWISW4) of Section Thirty three (33), Township Seven (7) North, Range Sixty four (64) West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, containing 10 acres more or less, and WHEREAS, the said requested expansion of an existing cattle feedlot operation is located in an agricultural zone as set forth by the Weld County Zoning Resolution, and WHEREAS, according to Section 3. 3(3)(c) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, said cattle feedlot operation-or any expansion thereof may be authorized upon the approval of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, and WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Commission, by resolution, has recommended that expansion of this existing cattle feedlot operation be approved; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the petition of Vernon Cecil, Route 1, Box 80, Eaton, Colorado, for expansion of an existing cattle feedlot operation on the following described property, to-wit: Southeast Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of the Southwest Quarter (SEINWISW-) of Section Thirty tIlmree (33), Township Seven (7) North, Range Sixty four (64) West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, containing 10 acres more or less, and as provided by Section 3. 3(3)(c) of the Zoning Resolution of Weld County, Colorado, is hereby granted under the conditions following: 1. Any water and sanitation facilities to be installed shall be approved by the State Health Department. 2. That petitioner shall proceed with due diligence to expand said feedlot and that he shall have up to one year from date hereof to begin construction for the expansion thereof. 3. That all applicable subdivision regulations and zoning regulations shall be followed and complied with in accordance with the Zoning Resolutions of Weld County, Colorado. Mr. Cecil plans to use the area of land in question for feedlots. The soils in this quarter are quite variable as to texture and depth. The center of the quarter, where Mr. Cecil plans to build the feedlots, is a knoll with deep sandy soils to the south but heavier soils with sandstone and shale at from 20 to 40 inches to the north. If a lagoon is necessary and is built in the area of shallow soils it would necessi- tate a blanket of impervious material. Natural drainage is to the south and west, away from the Larimer and Weld canal. There are no natural streams or drainageways that would be affected by any runoff from the proposed feedlots.
