As requested, Hollingsworth Associates, Inc. has prepared the septic system for the proposed homes and office building located at Gentry Family Farm, 0 Weld County Road 5 in Weld County, Colorado. Proposed Construction: It is planned to build a new five -bedroom home, a new four -bedroom home, and an office building. The system will be designed for a five -bedroom residence, a four - bedroom residence, and an office building (with an employee count of 9). Site Conditions: At the time of our field investigation, the site was vacant. The site had a native grass and weed cover. The ground surface sloped slightly from east to west with a change in elevation of approximately 6 feet. Subsoil Conditions: The subsurface conditions at the site, as indicated by exploratory test pits TP-1 through TP-6, consisted of 12 inches of topsoil and 0 to 3 feet of medium stiff sandy to very sandy clay, 0 to 9 feet of loose to medium dense clayey to very clayey sand which occasionally grades into a very silty sand or a sandy clay, 0 to 3 feet of firm weathered Hollingsworth Associates, Inc. Geotechnical & Environmental Engineers 2875 W. Oxford Ave. #7 Sheridan, Colorado 80110 303-781-5188/fax 303-781-5224 claystone/sandstone overlying 0 to 6 feet of hard claystone/sandstone for the depth excavated, 10 feet. No free water was encountered in the test pits at the time of excavation. The test pits were excavated with a rubber tire backhoe. Septic System: The septic system was designed based on a five -bedroom, four -bedroom dwelling. A design flow rate of 1,410 gal/day was determined from Table 2. The septic system should consist of a 1,500 -gallon septic tank and a 2,820 square feet ieachfield. Limitations: This report has been prepared in accordance with generally accepted soil and foundation engineering practices in this area for use by the client for design purposes. The conclusions and recommendations submitted in this report are based on the data obtained from the profile hole drilled at the location indicated on the site plan and the proposed type of construction. The nature and extent of subsurface variations across the site may not become evident until excavation is performed. If during construction, fill, soil, rock, or water conditions appear to be different from those described herein, this office should be advised at once so reevaluation of the recommendations may be made. We recommend on -site observation of excavations and foundation bearing strata by a representative of the soil engineer. Sincerely, HOLLLNGSWORTH ASSOCIATES, INC.
