SUBJECT: Motor Graders, Bid B1900032
The Public Works Department recommends awarding the bid to the low bidder, Wagner Equipment Company
for six, 2019 Caterpillar 140M3 All -Wheel Drive Motor Graders. The other bids from Wagner Equipment for
2019 Caterpillar 12M3 AWD and 2019 140-13 motor graders did not meet specifications in horse power and
torque rise.
The base price of each motor grader is $296,720.66. We would like the following options:
Option# 1 (Heated Window Wipers) is included in the base price; Option #2 (Reversing Engine Fan) is
$1,865.00 per machine or $11,190.00 for six.
The total cost for six Caterpillar 140M3 All -Wheel Drive Motor Graders from Wagner Equipment Company with
Options 1 and 2 is $1,791,513.96.
There is $1,890,000.00 budgeted for this purchase
