RE: DISSOLVE CHANGE FUND AT ASSESSOR'S OFFICE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, on February 2, 1987, the Board granted the request to establish a Change
Fund for the Assessor's Office, in the amount of $50.00, and
WHEREAS, on May 13, 2002, the Board granted the request to increase said Change
Fund from $50.00 up to $250.00, and
WHEREAS, on July 7, 2008, the Board granted the request to decrease said Change
Fund from $250.00 down to $200.00, and
WHEREAS, the Assessor's Office no longer has need for cash boxes, therefore, the fund
is no longer necessary, and
WHEREAS, the Controller has recommended the Change Fund for the Assessor's Office
be dissolved and transferred back to the General Fund, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, deems it
advisable and in the best interests of Weld County to approve said recommendation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Controller, be, and hereby is, authorized to dissolve the Change Fund
for the Assessor's Office, in the amount of $200.00, and transfer the funds back into the General
Fund.
