County's Early Childhood Council and its community partners, in conjunction with
the National Association for the Education of Young Children, are celebrating the
Day of the Young Child, Saturday, April 13th; and
WHEREAS, these organizations are working together to increase awareness in the
importance of early childhood development while helping to facilitate accessible
pathways of services which will lead to the lifelong well-being for all children
prenatal through 8 years of age; and
WHEREAS, teachers, child care professionals, non -profits, and all those who
make a difference in the lives of young children in Weld. County deserve thanks
and recognition; and
WHEREAS, public policies that support early learning opportunities for all young
children are crucial to all children in Weld County being valued, healthy and
arriving.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners does hereby proclaim
Saturday, April 13, 2019, as the Day of the Young Child in Weld County and
encourages` all citizens to work to make a good investment in early childhood in
Weld County and all across Colorado.
