Gentlemen:
SUBJECT: WELD COUNTY COURTHOUSE ELECTRICAL STUDY
PROJECT NO. 73-1-ELE-0245
In response to Mr. Glenn K. Billings' letter of June 15, 1973, we are pleased
to present the following proposal.
We will have the courthouse electrical system inspected and reviewed by a quali-
fied Electrical Engineer. We will furnish a written report outlining the defi-
ciences in the electrical system and indicating an estimated cost for corrective
work.
Our charges for this service will be on an hourly basis. The charge for the
Electrical Engineer will be $22.50 per hour. The charge for the Electrical
Designer will be $12.50 per hour. We expect our charges to be a total of
approximately $500.00.
This information confirms a discussion between Mr. Charles Clementz of Weld
County and Bill McGinley of this office on June 21, 1973.
We appreciate the opportunity to do this work and assure you of our intent to
furnish the County with the information they will need to make a well-informed
decision on future electrical work at the courthouse.
Very truly yours,
NELSON, HALEY, PATTERSON and QUIRK, Inc. APPROVED BY: BOARD OF WELD COUNTY

Gentlemen:
Following my conversation with Mr. Glen Billings relative to our reach-
ing the limits o£ our Power supply and the increasing demand for more
power throughout the Court House and the Jail, plus the fact that we
have lost power in thnoura hoube twice In tine past several months, due
to overloading the Circuits, Mr. Billings directed a letter to the firm
of Nelson, Haley, Patterson and Qntrk requesting the cost of a survey
to determine our needs to insure an adequate power supply for both now
and the future.
This past Tuesday, I had conversation with an engineer from that firm
relative to Mr. Billing's ated that the survey would
cost about five hundred le suggested that if we ac-
cepted that figure it would be beat for us to get the survey done at
once since the Electrical Engineer who would be assigned was due to go
on vacation very soon.
Acting soley on my own and with the understanding that the entire Board
would have to approve my action, I suggested that the survey begin at
— once.
I respectfully beg the Commissioners to approve the making o£ this sur-
vey immediately that we know how much money will be required to correct
what is an obvious immediate need so we may include that sum in our
1974 budget.
Yours, very truly
