WWI.;I hIAR6HEIM mcKg Original Route Revised Route February 5, 2019 Weld County Department of Planning Services 1555 N 17th Ave. Greeley, CO 80631 RE: Case #: USR18-0094 Board Members, I am the present owner of property located at 16541 Weld County Rd. 35, Platteville, Colorado and I would like to voice my objections to the proposed PROJECT OF: "USR for two (2) greater than 12 -inch natural gas pipelines etc." as stated on your notification which I received in the mail a week ago. When I went to look at this file on your online web site, I was disturbed to see how many petroleum related processing plants/facilities that are in existence and being proposed for our neighborhood along with this new 24 -inch pipeline. As I review the documents, I fail to see how the County is addressing the noise, smell and pollutions that comes from these facilities, not to mention the safety factors. As I see it, there are additional issues of who is going to pay for the construction, outfitting, manning and maintaining the new fire protection facilities that will be required by the development and operation of these petroleum facilities to ensure our safety. Along with the additional required fire protection costs come the additional costs for the increase police/sheriff patrols needed to protect these operations and control the additional traffic. Another question that comes to mind is Anadarko E&P Company going to be held liable for any damage to our properties and roads while they install this pipeline? Will they be required to restore our properties and roadways to better -than conditions after they are thru with their construction operations? Who will be responsible if there is a failure in this pipeline anytime after it is completed for the damages caused by this failure to our properties and community? In closing I would like to state that it looks like our community is going to look and smell like Commerce City Colorado with all of these petroleum facilities, which will cause our property values to drop and will add more tax burden to them.
