Dear Mayor Melendez:
The Weld County Commissioners are writing this letter of support for the Town of Windsor's North Front
Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) Surface Transportation Block Grant Program
(STBG) application for FY 2022-2023 funding as part of the MPO's Call for Projects. The proposed
project to realign a' /4 mile segment of Weld County Road (WCR) 13, also known as County Line Road,
Colorado Boulevard, and Larimer County Road (LCR 1), identified by the NFRMPO as a Regionally
Significant Corridor (RSC).
WCR 13 is an important transportation corridor throughout Weld County because of its functionality,
length, community connectivity, as well as serving as a parallel arterial to 1-25. This project will assist
Weld and Larimer County residents by addressing a needed safety issue by removing the existing curve in
WCR 13 to WCR 68.5 (Jacoby Road).
