Services of Weld County are committed to the development and expansion of
registered apprenticeships to support local workforce needs while increasing the
future talent pipeline; and
WHEREAS, apprenticeships provide workers the opportunity to earn a living wage
while attaining skills necessary to succeed in high demand careers; and
WHEREAS, apprenticeships are a proven model that has been validated by the
U.S. Department. of Labor; and
WHEREAS, the nation will celebrate National Apprenticeship Week in November
2019 to recognize apprenticeships and its value to the economy.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado do hereby proclaim November 11 — 17, 2019, as Apprenticeship Week
in Weld County.
