Griego, Director, Human Services RE: Transfer of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) Funds to Weld County Please review and indicate if you would like a work session prior to placing this item on the Board's agenda. Request Board Approval of the Department's Transfer of Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) from Montrose County and Delta County to Weld County. Montrose County and Delta County have agreed to transfer Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds to Weld County. Montrose will transfer $225,000.00, and Delta will transfer $150,000.00. Per the State, a county may transfer a portion of its underspent TANF allocation to another county so long as one of the county's submits a letter to the State. The letter submitted must be signed by the respective county's signature authority, acknowledge the specific transfer dollar amount, and communicate that the receiving county has agreed to take responsibility for the corresponding Maintenance of Effort (MOE) for the amount transferred. For purposes of these transfers, Montrose has drafted a letter that will be signed by their Board. Weld County has drafted the letter for the transfer from Delta and it requires the Chair's signature. I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of these transfers and authorize the Chair to sign the acknowledgement letter for Delta. Approve Schedule Other/Comments: Recommendation Work Session Sean P.
