RE: COMBINE CHANGE FUND FOR WORK RELEASE FACILITY WITH CHANGE FUND
FOR WELD COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE LAW ENFORCEMENT ADMINISTRATION
BUILDING FOR USE AT NORTH JAIL LOBBY
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2002-3233, on December 23, 2002, a Change Fund was
established for use at the Law Enforcement Administration Building, in the amount of $100.00,
and
WHEREAS, by Resolution #2009-0667, on March 18, 2009, a Change Fund was
established for use in the Work Release facility, in the amount of $100.00, and
WHEREAS, the Board has received a request from the Weld County Sheriff's Office to
combine the two Change Funds into one, and
WHEREAS, due to the relocation of non -custodial fingerprinting from Work Release back
to the Jail, the Controller has recommended the two funds be combined into one Change Fund,
in the amount of $200.00, for use at the North Jail Lobby for non -custodial fingerprinting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that the Change Fund for Work Release and the Change Fund for the Law
Enforcement Administration Building, both in the amount of $100.00, be, and hereby are,
combined for a total amount of $200.00 for use at the North Jail Lobby for non -custodial
fingerprinting.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 9th day of December, A.D., 2019.

Ref: Request for merging of money drawers
This memo is to request the merging of the current money box we have in our
work area with the money box that was used when fingerprints were processed at
the Work Release building. Both boxes contain $100.00 cash.
Since moving the non -custodial fingerprinting back to the jail, our number of
fingerprinting customers has increased and we tend to run out of small bills almost
daily. We are then running down to booking to make change from their box
leaving them with limited small bills.
The money box that was used at the Work Release building has been locked in our
safe for approximately two years now.
