RE: REGULATING, WARNING AND GUIDING TRAFFIC DURING THE RESCHEDULED
TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF COUNTY ROAD 6 BETWEEN COUNTY ROAD 23 AND
U.S. HIGHWAY 85 FOR APPROXIMATELY SIX (6) WEEKS, FOR BRIDGE RE -DECK
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to C.R.S. §42-4-106(6)(a):
"...local authorities, with their respective jurisdiction may, for the
purpose of road construction and maintenance, temporarily close to
through traffic or to all vehicular traffic any highway or portion
thereof for a period not to exceed a specified number of work days
for project completion and shall, in conjunction with any such road
closure establish appropriate detours or provide for an alternative
routing of the traffic affected...", and
WHEREAS, the Board, pursuant to said statute and upon the basis of traffic and personal
investigations, has determined that conditions exist which make it necessary to temporarily close
said County Road to through traffic and to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic by posting
signs thereon.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, deems it necessary to regulate, warn and guide vehicular traffic on County
roads and any intersections thereof, and it hereby authorizes and orders the posting of such traffic
control devices as shall be reasonably necessary to regulate, warn and/or guide traffic thereon
for the safety of the general public and that said traffic control devices shall conform to the Federal
Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County,
Colorado, does declare and establish that County Road 6, between County Road 23 and
U.S. Highway 85, be rescheduled from November 1, 2019, to November 4, 2019, for
approximately six (6) weeks for a bridge re -deck, to accommodate possible weather and holiday
delays, and further, that standard official traffic control devices shall be erected at said closure
giving notice of the restrictions.

WCR 6 between WCR 23 and US HWY 85 is closed from 11/4/2019 thru 12/13/2019 for a bridge re -
deck.
This is a revision to the original dates of 11/1/19 thru 11/27/19 approved on 10/21/19 in order to
accommodate possible delays due to weather and the Holiday.
