Dear Sir: The following pages contain a listing o£ all subdivisions, minor subdivisions, and exemptions that have been approved by the Weld County Board of Commission- ers since September 1, 1972. We have included examples of an exemption (the Public Service Company file) and a minor subdivision (the W.G. Minturn file) so that your office can better understand the County's involvement in these two procedures. We trust the following information (page 2) will be of use as our input to the Growth Monitoring data file. We were unable to locate a copy of the Summary Report Form in any of the County offices. If more information is necessary, please notify us. As our listing of subdivision indicates, and as we are sure you are already aware, regular subdivision activity in Weld County does not approach the in- tensity of subdivision activity in most of Weld's neighboring front range counties. Our policies discourage rapid changes in land use from agriculture to residential purposes. We believe that the procedures involved in our exemption and minor subdivision clauses support the policy of preserving agricultural uses. We realize that there has been much discussion of any such provision as a "mini-subdivision" or a "minor subdivision" as a violation of legislative intent in the passage of Senate Bill 35• We feel, however, that any violation of legislative intent in our subdivision regulations is quite figurative, and not substantive.
