HomeMy WebLinkAbout20201138.tiffRECORD OF PROCEEDINGS EMERGENCY MEETING MINUTES BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WELD COUNTY, COLORADO THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 2020 The Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, met in emergency session in full conformity with the laws of the State of Colorado at the regular place of meeting in the Weld County Administration Building, Greeley, Colorado, April 16, 2020, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. +,..= ROLL CALL: The meeting was called to order by the Chair and on roll call the following members were present in person, constituting a quorum of the members thereof: Commissioner Mike Freeman, Chair Commissioner Steve Moreno, Pro -Tern Commissioner Scott K. James Commissioner Barbara Kirkmeyer — EXCUSED Commissioner Kevin D. Ross Also present: County Attorney, Bruce Barker Clerk to the Board, Esther Gesick Controller, Barbara Connolly NEW BUSINESS: 1) CONSIDER INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT FOR SHARING OF OPERATIONAL EXPENSES FOR BONELL ALTERNATIVE CARE FACILITY AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN — CITY OF GREELEY: Bruce Barker, County Attorney, stated staff has not yet received the intergovernmental agreement from the City of Greeley and he will need to review the item before it's presented to the Board. In response to Commissioner Moreno, Mr. Barker confirmed the Greeley City Council approved the agreement on April 14, 2020. Commissioner James moved to continue said intergovernmental agreement to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 17, 2020, which was seconded by Commissioner Ross, and the motion carried unanimously. 2) CONSIDER AGREEMENT AMENDMENT FOR CUSTODIAL SERVICES IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 ADDITIONAL CLEANING REQUIREMENTS AND AUTHORIZE CHAIR TO SIGN - OBAND'S JANITORIAL COMPANY: Toby Taylor, Director of Buildings and Grounds, explained the need for custodial services to be provided seven (7) days per week, as well as daytime disinfecting, for an amount of $4,935.00 per month. In response to Commissioner Moreno, Mr. Taylor stated he cannot verify the type of disinfectant utilized, only that the additional services and products are recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Commissioner Moreno moved to approve said agreement amendment and authorize the Chair to sign. Commissioner Ross seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously. Let the minutes reflect that the above and foregoing actions were attested to and respectfully submitted by the Clerk to the Board.
