Your petitioners further show that within the boundaries of said proposed district , there are approximately 50 , 040 acres of patented land , 18 , 100 acres of land covered by homestead entried, 11 ,260 acres of land covered by desert filings ; that the undersigned, your petitioners , constitute more than a majority of the resident freeholders within the said proposed districts and own in the aggregate more than a majority of the whole number of acres in said district belonging to the resident freeholders within said district ; that the undersigned name , designate and appoint F. B. Stevenson, E. E. Merritt , and Boyd C . Wolf, as a committee of three to present this petition to your Honorable Board, and to give and sign the notice of this application which is required by law.
