IN RE THE ORGANIZATION OF NOTICE OF HEARING
WESTERN HILLS FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT ,
WELD COUNTY, COLORADO
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN That there was filed in
the District Court in and for the County of Weld and State of
Colorado, on the / 7 14 dayof /7/7r . / , 1974 , a Petition
entitled "In Re the Organization of Western Hills Fire Protection
District, Weld County , Colorado" , which Petition prays for the
organization of a fire protection district. Notice is further
given that a Service Plan for the proposed District and a
Resolution of the County Commissioners of Weld County , Colorado,
approving the Service Plan were also filed with the Court in this
matter as required by law. Said documents are now on file at
the office of the Clerk of the District Court of Weld County , in
Greeley, Colorado, and are available for public inspection.
The purpose of the District is as follows :
To provide a complete fire protection
service including all necessary in-
cidental and appurtenant facilities
for the District and the inhabitants
thereof ;
A general description of the improvements to be acquired
by purchase, contract, construction , installation or any other
lawful means for said District are :
A complete fire protection system and
service, to include necessary fire trucks ,
vehicles , and fire fighting equipment,
buildings and structures to house the
vehicles and equipment, and land and
easements as required.
The fire protection facilities may be provided at
one time or from time to time as the needs of the District may
require.
The present estimated cost of the proposed fire
protection facilities is the amount of $375 , 515 .

The names of the five electors who shall constitute the
first board of the District, if organized, are as follows :

or until the reorganizational election to be held for directors
of the district to be held in May of 1976 , whichever is earlier.
The proposed District is located in Weld County , Colo-
rado, and is more particularly described as follows :

' NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN That by an order of the District
Court in and for the County of Weld, a public Hearing on said

1974 , at which time and place any parties or persons in interest
may appear if they so desire, within the limitations provided by
law.
Such interested parties or persons as defined by the
Special District Control Act, Chapter 89 , Article 18 , C .R.S. 1963 ,
as amended, are as follows :
1. The governing body of any existing
municipality or special district which
has levied an ad valorem tax within the
next preceding tax year and which has
boundaries within a radius of three
miles of the proposed District, and
2. The residents and property owners within
the proposed District.
Any such party or person who has appeared and presented
objections before the Board of County Commissioners shall also
have the right to appear and be heard at the hearing on the Court
Petition for the organization of the District. , ?
