RESOLUTION
RE: REMOVAL OF SOFT DRINK VENDING MACHINES FROM COUNTY OWNED
BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Board of County
Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado, that the presence of soft drink
vending machines in County owned buildings have been creating a public
nuisance, and
WHEREAS, the Board , upon its own investigation, has determined
that many persons using County facilities and availing themselves of pop
secured from such vending machines have been guilty of leaving scattered
7 throughout the County buildings empty, partially filled and broken bottles ,

WHEREAS , it has been further determined that such broken , empty
and partially empty pop bottles have come from the various vending machines
located in the various County owned buildings , and
WHEREAS , the Board believes it to be in the best interest of the
County to abate such nuisance of scattered, empty and broken pop bottles
in its public buildings and to order the removal of every soft drink vending
machine from all County owned buildings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Com-
missioners , and it hereby directs and orders the County Superintendent of
Buildings and Grounds to remove or cause to be removed every soft drink
vending machine from all County buildings until further order of the Board.
The above and foregoing Resolution was , on motion duly made and
seconded, adopted by the following vote, on the 10th day of November, 1971 .

RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on Wednesday, October 27,
1971, .in the chambers of the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, for the purpose of hearing the petition of E. R. Austin,
1203 9th Street, Greeley, Colorado, requesting a change of zone con-
cerning two tracts of land and designated on submitted plat as follows,
to-wit:
No. 1: TRACT A - from "E" Estates District to "H-UD"
High Density Unit Development;
No. 2: TRACT B - from "E" Estates District to "R-UD"
Residential Unit Development, and
WHEREAS, the petitioner was present, and
WHEREAS, there was no opposition to the changes of zone, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has studied the
request of the petitioner and studied the recommendations of the Weld
County Planning Commission as submitted, and having been fully informed;

developer shall comply with all the rules and regulations of the City of

WHEREAS, under Colorado Revised Statutes, 1963, Chapter 112-7-9,
I( the Board of County Commissioners shall direct the monies received to be
credited to the School Fund and the Road Fund of their Counties, apportioning
said monies between two funds in the amounts as they desire; five percent is a\�
the minimum amount that shall ever be credited to either of the funds, and
WHEREAS, having recieved $16.00 the Board believes it to be in the
best interests of the County to apportion said money equally.

WHEREAS, Weld County is in need of all available gravel that it can
obtain in Weld County, and
WHEREAS , Bert Lowell, is the owner of certain real estate containing
gravel deposits , and
WHEREAS, the County of Weld and Bert Lowell are desirous of enter-
ing into a contract whereby the County will obtain certain gravel at a

reasonable cost to the County , and
WHEREAS , the Board of County Commissioners , Weld County,
Colorado, believes it to be in the best interest of the County to enter into
such agreement on the basis recited therein.

natural angle of repose and to be used for a two (2) year period.
It is mutually agreed and understood that all covenants and
agreements herein contained shall extend to and be obligatory upon the
successors , assigns and legal representatives of the parties , or any
person claiming by, through or under either of them or their agents or
attorneys .

WHEREAS, the County of Weld, State of Colorado, and the City of
Greeley , Colorado have had in past years a general understanding regarding
the responsibilities and agreements relative to the use of the City and/or
County buildings located at the Weld County Fair Grounds , and
WHEREAS, the City of Greeley, Colorado is desirous of using the

between Weld County and the City of Greeley setting out the duties and

WHEREAS, the Board believes it to be in the best interest of Weld
County to enter into such agreement permitting use of said building for ice
skating purposes on the basis recited therein.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County
Commissioners , Weld County, Colorado, that said agreement with the
City of Greeley, copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof Ill
by reference , be, and it hereby is approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Board be and it hereby is
authorized to execute the agreement as submitted and to make the same
effective forthwith.

AGREEMENT
THIS AGREEMENT, Made and entered into this 24th day of November,
1971 , by and between WELD COUNTY , STATE OF COLORADO, by the Board of
County Commissioners , for its respective interests , party of the first part,
and THE CITY OF GREELEY , COLORADO, party of the second part,
WITNESSETH:
WHEREAS, the party of the first part is the owner of the livestock
exhibit building, Island Grove Park , Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, the party of the second part is desirous of leasing said
building from the party of the first part for ice skating during the winter of
1971-1972 , and
WHEREAS, the party of the first part believes it to be in the best
interest of Weld County to lease said building to the City of Greeley for
such purpose .
NOW, THEREFORE, for and in consideration of the mutual promises ,
agreements and covenants hereinafter contained , the parties hereto hereby
agree and contract as follows , to-wit:
1 . It is mutually agreed that although the rental normally charged
for said building for the winter is $1 ,000.00 , said charge is waived by
first party in lieu of the second party not charging first party for use of
facilities belonging to second party during the Weld County Fair.
2 . Second party agrees that the floor of the building will be covered
with heavy plastic and that the seams will be sealed before putting on 4 to 5
inches of sand.
3 . It is further mutually agreed that charges for electricity con-
sumption for use of the building during the skating season will be transferred
to second party.

4 . It is still further mutually agreed that the building will be
inspected by Stanley L. Boyes representing first party, and by Toni
Genzianelli representing second party, before and after the season and
any damage or damages will be borne by second party.
It is mutually agreed and understood that all covenants and
agreements herein contained shall extend to and be obligatory upon the
successors , assigns and legal representatives of the parties, or any
person claiming by, through or under either of them or their agents or
attorneys .

WHEREAS, Farm Fare Incorporated, whose address is Lucerne, Colorado,
and doing business as the Red Steer Supper Club, located at Lucerne, Colorado, has
filed their application for a liquor license to sell malt, vinous and spirituous
liquors by the drink only at the above location, and
WHEREAS, Farm Fare Incorporated has exhibited a State Liquor License
issued cy the Secretary of State, together with receipt to-wit for the payment
of federal taxes thereon, and

CERTIFICATION OF LEVIES AND REVENUES FOR 1972
TO THE COUNTY ASSESSOR AND TO THE
COLORADO TAX COMMISSION:
WHEREAS, the various governing Boards of the respective Towns and
% Cities, School Districts, Junior College Districts, Fire Protection Districts,
Water Districts, Sanitation Districts, Irrigation Districts, Drainage Districts,
Regional Transportation District, Northern Colorado and Central Colorado Water
Conservancy Districts in Weld County, Colorado, have certified to this Board
the amount necessary to pay for maintaining and operating indebtedness for the
year, 1972, for each of the said Districts, as more particularly listed on the G
tabulated Certification of Levies hereto attached; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners is now in possession of
the necessary information and authority;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that there shall be levied on each dollar of valuation
in the aforementioned districts a tax for the purpose of interest coupons and
creating a sinking fund for payments of bonds issued by the several School
Districts of the County; a tax for special purposes as certified to this Board
by proper officers, as per certification of levies and revenues to the County
Assessor and to the Colorado Tax Commission, which list and certification is
hereto attached and made a part of this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion duly made and

Colorado, has offered to lease a certain block of County mineral lands, containing
3.74 acres, more or less, and to pay therefore $5.00 per net mineral acre, for the
execution of the necessary leases with annual delay rentals of $1.00 per net
mineral acre after the first year, and
WHEREAS, it is desirous and in the best interest of Weld County to accept
said offer to lease the requested mineral acreage.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of
Weld County, Colorado, that the offer of Amoco Production Company, as hereinabove
recited, be and it is hereby accepted, for a term of five years, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the County mineral acreage in each are as
listed below:
That portion of the Town of Wattenburg, Colorado situated in the ,NE .
