RELEASE OF $15,000.00 BOND
AS SUBMITTED BY LOVELAND READY-MIX CONCRETE INC.
WHEREAS, the Weld County Planning Director recommends gravel permit be
revoked, the $15,000.00 Bond now being held by Weld County, Colorado, for the
compliance with all the conditions, covenants and regulations contained in said
gravel permit and subject to the Weld County Zoning Regulations should be released.
Bond being more particularly described as follows:
Bond No. 857471 dated March 13, 1970; issued by General Insurance
Company of America as surety to Weld County, Colorado as Obligee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners,
Weld County, Colorado, that they do hereby direct the County Clerk to release
said Bond #857471, now being held by the County, in the amount of $15,000.00 to
Loveland Ready-Mix Concrete, Inc. as principal and General Insurance Company of
America as surety.
The above and foregoing resolution was on motion duly made and seconded,

Revocation of a permit

Dear Glenn :
It has recently come to my attention that a bond for
rehabilitation of a gravel pit under the name of Walter G .
a-nd Velma Frank is expiring April 1 , 1973 . A field inspec-
tion was made during the first week of March which revealed
no gravel extraction had taken place , no equipment for such
gravel extraction is located on the land nor does there ap-
pear to be any activity which indicates that any extraction
is contemplated in the near future .
A zone change was also granted from "A " Agricultural District
to " I " Industrial District by the Board for 4 . 155 acres which
w_as to be used for a ready-mix concrete {plant operation . The
Resolution also states "that a developer proceed with due
diligence to begin development of the area surrounding the
gravel pit operation and submit plans to the Weld County Plan-
ning Commission . "
This said change of zone herein granted from "A" Agricultural
District to " I " Industrial District is conditional and shall
exist only until sand , gravel and soil is exhausted from this
certain gravel pit adjacent to subject property and heretofor
granted by Resolution of the Board of _County Commissioners on
3/25/70 . The Resolution continues , "this such area herein
rezoned shall revert to "A " Agricultural District as origin-
ally zoned and said ready-mix concrete plant shall be removed
Trom the presmises forthwith " .
In view of the bond being terminated , the area not being mined
and no installation of equipment to extract and process such
sand and gravel , it is recommended by the Planning staff that
proceedings begin to show cause why the permit should not be
revoked and the zoning be reverted to "A" Agricultural use .
