NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the application of the Greeley Fire Department for a Tier I Ambulance Service License, be, and hereby is, approved. The Weld County Emergency Medical Trauma Service (EMTS) Council reviewed each application on November 18, 2020, and approved all fifteen applications. Changes from 2020 include the addition of Ambulnz CO, LLC as a new Tier II ambulance service. Mile High Ambulance Service was previously approved in September 2020 for licensure through 2021. Based on the delegated responsibility of the Department, we have reviewed the applications and have deemed all ambulance services listed below to have met all applicable licensure application requirements as per Chapter 7. Please include any findings related to response time, coordination with other ambulance services, location, service area, etc. that is the basis for the Council's recommendation: FINDING #1: The Greeley Fire Department Squad 1 serves the City of Greeley and Western Hills as a Community Health response vehicle. The vehicle may assist with 911 EMS Transport as the 911 system becomes overwhelmed with calls and can accommodate the treatment and transport of citizens and guests of the GFD response area. The Squad is staffed with a Paramedic. FINDING #2: There have been no deficiencies regarding service delivery or response times expressed to the EMTS Council. FINDING #3: The EMTS Council believes that GFD service contributes to an effective, efficient, and coordinate response to those citizens and guests of the City. GFD is willing to assist other agencies when a need arises. FINDING #4: This year has had unique challenges. The EMTS Council has only met once in person, and other meetings have been conducted virtually. GFD has attended the EMTS Council meeting and has been very active in the Council throughout the year. Recommended Level of Service: Tier 2 Tier 3 Recommended Service Area: The EMTS Council has reviewed the service area for Greeley Fire Department and foresees no concerns. Other EMTS Council recommendations or comments: The EMTS Council recommends that the Weld County Board of County Commissioner grant a Tier I Ambulance License to Greeley Fire Department.
