Request Board Approval of the Department of Human Services Policy Approval Process Change. The Department of Human Services (DHS) requests approval to change its current policy approval process. • Current process: All DHS policy is reviewed and approved via Pass Around (PA) Memorandum by the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). The approved PA and associated policy is forwarded to the Clerk to the Board (CTB) and placed on the BOCC Agenda for Resolution. • Requested (new) process: All DHS policy will be reviewed and approved via PA by the BOCC. The approved PA and policy will be filed and retained by DI -IS and will not be forwarded to the CTB for placement on the BOCC Agenda for Resolution. This request was staffed and approved by Legal (Gabe Kalousek) and Esther Gesick, Clerk to the Board. I do not recommend a Work Session. I recommend approval of this policy approval process change.
