FILINGS NO. ONE, TWO AND THREE
TO COUNTY ROAD SYSTEM:
BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners
of Weld County, Colorado, that they hereby accept certain
portions of streets lying within the Vantage Acres Subdivision
located in the Sigh and SE; of Section 17 , Township 1 North,
Range 65 West of the 6th P. M. , Weld County, Colorado, said
streets being
Western Drive . 25 mile m/1
195th Avenue .75 mile m/1
197th Avenue . 55 mile m/1
Vantage Drive . 25 mile m/1
The above and foregoing resolution was, on motion
duly made and seconded, adopted by the following vote:

Dear Mr. Perkinson,
I received your letter postmarked January llth, 1974. Roacls in
Vantage Acres have not been accepted for maintenance nor are they
ready to be accepted at this date.
Enclosed are a petition signed by persons of Vantage Acres to
developers on February 9, 1970, asking that roads be brought up to
County specifications; a letter to me dated October 10, 1970, and a
recent letter (January 16, 1974) faun the Weld County Director
of Public Works.
What we are needing in Vantage Acres is a person to contact, whether
it is the developer or a citizen delegated by other residents of
Vantage Acres, in regard to road specification matters. The County
makes no inspections of roads for acceptance for maintenance between
November and March.
Once the roads have been improved to meet County specifications
this Board should be asked to accept the roads fa-County maintenance,
at which time an inspection of the roads in question will take
place and the Board will act in regard to acceptance.
If I may be of further help or information,_please do not hesitate to
contact me. I have also written a letter in regard to the same matter
in reply to a.letter from Mr. Robert Stringer of Poly-Fast Products,
Inc. , 5255 Fast 38th Avenue, Denver, Colorado 80207.

We have received several letters and calls in regard to road
conditions in Vantage Acres in southeastern Weld County.
All persons who have contacted us have been informed that
the County does not accept roads for maintenance until they
are built to County specifications and this is the responsibility
of the developer.
We have enclosed our most current papers in regard to Vantage
Acres. Your attention in this matter would be appreciated by
residents of Vantage Acres and Weld County.

Dear Mr. Moser,
Since we have had a great deal of correspondence and communication lately
about the roads in Vantage Acres, and it seems my letter of August 5, 1970, has
been the cause, I feel I should clarify the situation for you.
The developers, Vantage Builders, did upon request receive inspection as the
letter of August 5, 1970 states. It was also thoroughly explained to them that
Board of County Commissioners action was necessary for final acceptance, and that
they should proceed by letter to request acceptance.
This was never done, and the roads have now been allowed to deteriorate.
We have through your kindness done minor snow removal even though we are not
required to do so.
My suggestion to the developers and/or the residents of the area is to wait
until spring, when those roads can be viewed with some assurance, then start
corrective measures to bring them up to standards. Once this is accomplished,
the developer should provide an accurate description of these roads by letter
to the Board of County Commissioners and formally request acceptance. Only
then can we officially resolve this situation.
