LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCY DECLARATION
1. As the principal executive officer of the Windsor-Severance Fire Protection District
("District"),the Fire Chief has the authority to declare a local disaster emergency pursuant
to § 24-33.5-709(1), C.R.S.
2. The District faces a local disaster based on the imminent threat to life and public health
resulting from the pandemic spread of the novel coronavirus identified as COVID-19.
3. Without emergency response, the local disaster may cause further harm to the citizens of
the District and the District is charged with operating in the best interests of the public
health, safety, and welfare of its citizens.
4. Therefore, effective as of the date listed below, I am declaring a local disaster emergency
pursuant to § 24-33.5-709(1), C.R.S., which shall be in effect for seven (7) days unless
extended by the Board of Directors of the District.
