WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with an Application for Membership and Electric Service for the Installation of a Weather Information System at County Roads 136 and 77 from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, to High West Energy, Inc., commencing upon full execution of signatures, with further terms and conditions being as stated in said application, and WHEREAS, after review, the Board deems it advisable to approve said application, a copy of which is attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, that the Application for Membership and Electric Service for the Installation of a Weather Information System at County Roads 136 and 77 from the County of Weld, State of Colorado, by and through the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, on behalf of the Department of Public Works, to High West Energy, Inc., be, and hereby is, approved. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the Board that the Chair be, and hereby is, authorized to sign said application. The CR 136 & CR 77 location requires that the county sign an Application for Membership and Electric Service with the power company High West Energy. Public Works requests that the Board of County Commissioners sign the Application so that the power can be hooked up to operate the weather station. What options exist for the Board? (include consequences, impacts, costs, etc. of options): Sign the Application for Membership and for Electric Service so that construction can continue on the weather station site. Recommendation: Public Works recommends that the Board of County Commissioners agree to place the Application for Membership and for Electrical Service on the agenda for approval so that construction is not delayed. This is OnBase Contract ID #3848. One original has been forwarded to CTB. Please return the original so that it can be forwarded to High West Energy. Public Works is in the process of installing weather stations at ten locations to help monitor the conditions on County roads. The Contractor installing the weather station tower is responsible for paying all costs associated with the installation. After installation, the monthly minimum is $68.50, which Public Works has budgeted for. The undersigned (hereinafter called the 'Applicant) hereby applies for membership in, and agrees to purchase electric y from, HIGH WEST ENERGY, INC (hereinafter called the "Association" upon the following terms and conditions: 1. Upon application and acceptance by the association for electric service, applicant will become a member of the as- soc' 'on with all the rights and privileges in accordance with the policies and bylaws in effect. 2.
