RE: ESTABLISH DISTRICT ATTORNEY'S SALARY FOR YEARS BEGINNING
JANUARY 1, 2021, THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2024
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, Section 20-1-301, C.R.S., sets a minimum salary of $130,000.00 for the
District Attorney for every judicial district, and states that any amount paid in excess of the State
minimum salary shall be set by the Board of County Commissioners of the county or counties
comprising the judicial district, and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, desires to
establish the salary of the District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District in Weld County at
$194,000.00 for the year 2021, $197,880.00 for 2022, $201,838.00 for 2023, $205,874.00 for
2024.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that pursuant to the authority set forth in Section 20-1-301, C.R.S., the salary
for the District Attorney for the Nineteenth Judicial District in Weld County be, and hereby is,
established at $194,000.00 for the year 2021, $197,880.00 for 2022, $201,838.00 for 2023,
$205,874.00 for 2024.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 2nd day of December, A.D., 2020.
