In previous years, the Sanctuary's plan for using staff and volunteers as peer group control appears to be enough for controlling issues at the event. The Sheriffs Office response to any emergency calls would be consistent with our response to other calls for service in the county and can be covered by the on -duty deputies. We do not see a need to assign extra staff specifically for their events. Please contact me if I can be of further assistance. I am writing this letter to inform you that the Hudson Fire Protection District and the Southeast Weld Fire Protection District have provided EMT services for special events held at the Wild Animal Sanctuary for the last few years. At these events the staffing coverage numbers was a decision that the two fire districts would make based on the information provided us by the sanctuary event staff. I would like you to consider allowing Hudson Fire Protection District and Southeast Weld Fire Protection District to meet with the Sanctuary event planners and come up with a mutually agreement upon number of EMT staff needed to provide adequate services for each of the events requested. I hope you had a nice end to 2019. I attached both forms — the State form was updated in September, but I don't believe the Weld County Questionnaire has changed since last Spring. We also haven't had any updates to the process. Last year's complete application packet is also attached, for reference. Please let me know if you need anything as you start compiling the application. Have a nice weekend, Chloe A.
