RE: APPROVE APPOINTMENTS AND REAPPOINTMENT TO REGIONAL
COMMUNICATIONS ADVISORY BOARD
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Weld County, Colorado, pursuant to
Colorado statute and the Weld County Home Rule Charter, is vested with the authority of
administering the affairs of Weld County, Colorado, and
WHEREAS, vacancies currently exist and the term for a certain position on the Regional
Communications Advisory Board will soon expire, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to appoint
Tom Nissen as the Police Zone North Representative, and Todd Norris and Brent Newbanks as
the Police Zone South Representatives, all with terms to expire December 31, 2023, and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Board of Commissioners deems it advisable to reappoint
Kris Kazian to said board as the Fire Chief At -Large Representative, with a term to expire
December 31, 2023.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of Weld
County, Colorado, that Tom Nissen, Todd Norris, Brent Newbanks, and Kris Kazian, be, and
hereby are, appointed and reappointed to the Regional Communications Advisory Board, all with
terms to expire December 31, 2023.
The above and foregoing Resolution was, on motion duly made and seconded, adopted
by the following vote on the 16th day of December, A.D., 2020.
