Subject: Public Works; Parking Lot Electrical Design
Weld County awarded on-call design services to four different vendors. There is a need for design
services for the expansion of the Public Works Parking lot that would include lighting and truck heating
electrical connections. Cairn Design has used the labor rates identified in their bid and quoted a lump
sum of$$5,715.00 for this design scope.

Project Title: Weld County Public Works Parking Lot-Electrical Engineering Services
Completion Date:
Design Compensation: $5,715.00
Note: Pursuant to the "Original Agreement", document No. 2019-2250 section 2.2- Additional
Task Order Work. In addition to that work described in section 2.1,the Parties may agree
to additional work to be provided by Contractor pursuant to an appropriately executed
Task Order, which shall be negotiated between the Parties on an as needed basis. Any
such Task Order shall be signed by the Weld County Director of Buildings and Grounds
before it shall be effective. In no event shall the total of all Task Orders exceed$25,000 in
any calendar year unless first approved by the Board of County Commissioners. Any
appropriately executed Task Order shall be automatically incorporated herein and
enforceable.
Scope of Task Order:
The project will involve full electrical engineering design and construction administration of the
parking lot extension in Greeley, CO. Cairn Design, LLC will provide engineering design under
this agreement including:
Electrical design and construction administration for the project.The project scope includes:
• Complete electrical design and construction administration for a new parking lot extension at
the building and grounds facility.The scope of work includes designing a new power
distribution system for truck heater connections, relocating the existing truck_heater
connections and new parking lot lighting.The new parking lot lighting will include the parking lot
extension and new driveways as required for complete lighting coverage.
1. Complete services for the project as described in the attached Exhibit-Task Order 1-
2020.
Contractor agrees to perform the services identified above and on the attached exhibit in
accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein and in the Original Agreement
between the parties.

RE: Weld County Buildings and Grounds Parking - Engineering Services
In accordance with the fees identified in our bid, our not to exceed price for this on call work for
this project is $5,715.00. The hourly breakdown is attached to this proposal.
Scope of Work:
The project will involve full electrical engineering design and construction administration of the

Scope of Services:
The scope of services included in this proposal are limited to the following:
• Development of a parking area plan based on existing drawings and current layouts.
• Field verification of existing dimensions and systems as they relate to the project.
• Coordination with the client as required to execute the scope of work.
• Coordination with the building department as required for the permit.
• Submissions: Design Development, Final Design,and For Construction.
• Construction administration to include construction project meetings, RFIs, submittal and
shop drawing review and approval, and final construction walk-through and punch list.
Compensation:
Total Design Fee - Not to exceed $5,715.00
Changes in scope, additional trips to the site, or added services would be billed hourly identified
in the On-Call contract, unless a fixed fee is agreed to in advance for the specific service.

Reimbursable expenses, +1- $300 (mileage and printing services) invoiced at cost + 10%.
Exclusions:
• Design of any system not listed above.
• Civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and plumbing design.
• Design changes, layout changes, or value engineering requested by client or owner after the
final submission.
