and nearly 1,000 individuals living in 28 assisted living facilities in Weld County;
and
WHEREAS, all residents should be aware of their rights so they may be
empowered to live with dignity and self-determination; and
WHEREAS, the Weld County Ombudsmen, along with individuals and groups
across the country, will be celebrating Residents' Rights Month with the theme
"Connection Matters" to emphasize connections to family, to friends and to the
community as an essential component of good health and quality of life for
residents.
NOW, THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED that the Board of Weld County
Commissioners does hereby proclaim October 2020 as Weld County Long -Term
Care Residents' Rights Month.
