On June 17, 2020, the bid was awarded to the low bidder Martin Ray Laundry Systems. After that award Buildings and Grounds began coordinating the contract. During that contract coordination, the vendor revealed the product they proposed does not meet the specifications. They had proposed a washer with an 80 -pound capacity. The bid specifications were for a washer with an 85 -pound capacity. Given this new information, the bid submitted by Martin Ray Laundry Systems does not meet specifications. Therefore, Buildings and Grounds is recommending rescinding the award to Martin Ray Laundry systems. In addition, Buildings and Grounds is recommending awarding the bid to Clean Designs due to their bid meeting specifications with the washing machine having the correct 85 -pound capacity Therefore, Buildings and Grounds is recommending the award to Clean Designs in the amount of $54,260.00.
