We built our home, located just south of the subject property, thirteen years ago believing that we could enjoy the serene Rocky Mountain view. One and a half years ago, Mr. Velasco approached us about his intention to install a commercial building and truck and storage equipment on his property just north of our home. We expressed to Mr. Velasco our concerns that such visual pollution would affect our property value and make it more challenging for us should we decide to sell our home and land. Mr. Velasco represented to us that he would plant a tree line around his property to conceal these structures. We relied on this representation to our detriment: Mr. Velasco installed these structures but wholly failed to plant the trees he told us he would despite subsequent discussions with him. We now desire to sell our property but have had enormous difficulty doing so because the buyers all comment that the property north of ours (Mr. elaseo's) is an eyesore. Now Mr. Velasco wants to further despoil the value of our property by essentially converting it into an industrial zone by installing oil field equipment and supplies just north of our land. EXHIBIT October 31, 2020 Page We purchased our property intending to live on agricultural land. We did not purchase it intending to live next to an industrial eyesore. Now we are experiencing enormous challenges selling our property. This application, if granted, would significantly affect our property value and make it virtually impossible to sell. Accordingly, we are opposed to the application. Sincerely Yours, Robert and Kim Lorentz Hello
