Would you be able to see if they hold an additional license that would allow for catering of your event. If not, then another vendor would need to be obtained to cater the event. I'm glad your fundraiser was a success last year and you are able to apply again. Technically, Special Events Permits must be submitted to the local licensing authority no less than 30 -days prior to the event. However, because Special Events Permits are dual licensed by both the Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division and Weld County, I recommend submitting the application as much in advance as possible this year. Weld County is not currently requiring an event size limit for attendance, but just in case the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division have any further requirements when they review the application, I'd like to give you as much time as possible to address their concerns or requirements prior to your event. I have attached both application forms, as well as a copy of last year's packet in case you want to use it as a guideline for recreating this years. You kindly helped us with our special event permit last year and we are hoping to host our fundraising event again this year, later in July. It will be an outdoor event and we intend to comply with social distancing guidelines and limiting the total number of attendees. I have two questions for you, please. First, how far in advance should we begin the special event permit process? Second, does Weld County have any specific prohibitions on the number of attendees for an outdoor event, in light of COVID-19? We want to ensure we comply to the best of our abilities.
